ABOUT US

Born in Conviction. Built for the Next Generation.

WHO WE ARE

BUILT TO CREATE OPPORTUNITY

Talented storytellers deserve more than dreams. They deserve opportunities.

Lancaster Film Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building a thriving creative ecosystem in Central Pennsylvania. We exist to develop talent, produce meaningful stories, and create pathways for creatives unwilling to compromise their values.

Founded by actor and filmmaker Robert Amaya along with a committed board of directors, LFI was born from a shared belief that talented storytellers deserve opportunities to develop their craft and pursue their calling.

We are building the infrastructure, community, and productions that allow creatives to grow, collaborate, and do their best work right here in Central Pennsylvania.

A Father Watched.
A Mission Was Born.
An Organization Rises.

I have spent more than fifteen years working in faith-based film as an actor. I have seen what this industry can be at its best. Stories that stay with people. Stories that remind us who we are. Stories that point us toward something greater.

But I have also seen how difficult it can be for artists to navigate an industry that does not always know what to do with conviction.

When my own daughter began growing in her gifts as an artist, I saw that reality from a different perspective. I met talented people who loved their craft, worked hard, and remained true to their values. Yet too often, those same convictions were treated as limitations rather than strengths.

It was backwards. And it was wrong.

I did not want my daughter, or any other artist, to feel that pursuing their calling required compromising who they were.

So I decided to build something different.

That decision became Lancaster Film Initiative.

We are building a new door. And it is open.

What We Believe

Excellence is an Act of Worship

We pursue craft at the highest level because the stories we tell deserve nothing less.

Conviction is Not a Compromise

Faith is not a limitation on creativity — it is the source of it. We never ask our artists to set down their faith or who they are.

Formation Before Platform

We help develop the whole person not just their craft. Whether they are stepping onto a set for the first time or returning to one after years of being pushed aside, the productions, credits, and opportunities at LFI are the fruit of that formation, not the replacement for it.
